Gibson Les Paul Standard 60's Iced Tea Burst 2023 (Pre-owned)

The Gibson Les Paul Standard has went through different iterations throughout the years, with some ideas more popular than others. However in recent years Gibson has returned the Les Paul Standard to what it should be - a classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved for many years. One thing Gibson do now that is different is that they offer 2 different specifications of the Standard based on 2 different eras which are considered to be the golden years of the Les Paul - one based from the 1950's and one based from the 1960's which this particular guitar comes from. 

The Les Paul Standard 60s has a non-weight-relieved solid mahogany body with an AA figured maple top that adds a bit of extra sustain and bite to the warmth and midrange punch of the mahogany. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper profile for hours and hours of comfortable play, while the bound Indian rosewood fretboard is outfitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and is adorned with acrylic trapezoid inlays. The 12” fretboard radius makes it equally comfortable when you’re playing first-position chords or bending the strings further up the neck, and despite the low action, there’s no risk of string bends choking out.

The Les Paul Standard 60s is equipped with a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines “with Kidney" buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors. A Graph Tech nut also helps keep the tuning nice and solid in partnership with the Grover tuners, ABR-1 bridge, and Stop Bar tailpiece. The two 60s Burstbucker™ pickups are loaded with Alnico 5 magnets and hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls. (The tone controls use Orange Drop capacitors).

The 3-way pickup selector toggle switch lets you use either pickup individually or combine them, and the individual controls allow you to blend the pickups in any ratio you prefer. The controls are topped with gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors, just like the classic early 60s Les Paul Standard models. A hardshell case is also included to keep this iconic guitar safe when in storage or when traveling.

This is a secondhand item and comes with a 3 month warranty.

This guitar has some buckle rash on the back which can only be seen in certain lighting conditions (see pictures), but elsewhere the guitar is in fantastic condition.
